Hi everyone and thank you very much for the nice welcome. I typically don't read much of the comments out there, only because it's natural to cling to some negative things though few and far between if one ran the stats. Anyway, it's a nice day here in Florida and tying some loose ends before I fly to LA for our show Saturday. Will be back in Seattle to begin the real tracking for the new album. We have a full albums worth of material + more, but surely we want to pick the best for the record. It's so great on so many levels actually. Not once has the band told me what to wear, what to say in interviews, what to write or how to sing. Sure, I welcome ideas that will be best for the music, but I was shocked that a band of this magnitude hasn't tried to once dictate my actions or musical direction. One couldn't ask for a nice group of guys, and wonderful family members as well. I've been told that I have shown much respect and professionalism since my entering the band. Let me assure you all of one thing: I'm not a hired gun. I'm family. I'm not just a lyricist, but also a guitar player, drummer of 27 yrs, and a song writer since I was about 14 yrs old. I play Whips guitar to show him an idea and he lets me. Scott and I show each other drumming techniques and things. Ed and I talk on the phone many times per week and go over vocal melodies and song ideas. Parker and I Skype and song write as well. We are all on the same page, which is very rare. To the public, I'm an overnight sensation with little experience. Truth is, I've been playing live in clubs and more since I was 14. I've paid my dues. I'm honored, humbled, excited, and very hopeful that this new record will be received well and judged on it's own merit. We can't please everyone, so we write what we are feeling, not selling out to anyone. Hoping to get a hit single with possible airplay, that would launch QR back into the spotlight in a massive way, bringing a whole new generation of fans to learn of this band we all love. Lastly, yeah...I'm a nice guy, humble, respectful, but also cocky and don't take shit from anyone, I repeat...anyone Trust me, I should be whistling dixie through my bottom lip I've been biting it so hard at some of the crap and flat out lies that I've read on the internet. But, it's easy to react and speak out, it takes far more control to keep calm and let things play out in a more respectable manner. I do value all of those that support me and the guys, so thank you:) In my heart, this is the only QR now, they wrote the songs, period. Have a wonderful week everyone.

You are most welcome, so "thank you". You know, I saw their last concert for the 30th Anniversary tour, actually met the whole band then. It was a great performance, but surely the stage presence wasn't what it is now, BOOM We are really having a great time, and like the others are quoted in interviews...the band is communicating on a full time basis, with everyone writing. To be honest, "some" of the tunes and/or riffs were things offered and submitted before but got tossed aside. One man's trash is another man's treasure, cuz there were some gems in there to be utilized and worked with, if you're into harder rock/metal. FYI, it's not a "power metal" album, but I do land some SIIIIIIIICK screams here and there, the likes rival blinded, if not higher, but only in tasty spots. This is by no means a "screaming" record, it's QR \m/
