Ydinryhmästä lähti ensin basisti (no onneksi toinen hyvä tilalle), sitten kitaristi/säveltäjä (se siitä sen ajan Stratovariuksesta) ja nyt rumpalikin lähtee. Huh huh. Tämä alkaa olla käytännössä Kotipellon ja Johanssonin projektibändi.

Tampereen keikka voisi kiinnostaa kuitenkin nyt kun vielä Jörg on mukana. Viimeisin keikka omalla kohdalla oli huhtikuussa 2006 Rytmikorjaamolla.

Tampereen keikka voisi kiinnostaa kuitenkin nyt kun vielä Jörg on mukana. Viimeisin keikka omalla kohdalla oli huhtikuussa 2006 Rytmikorjaamolla.

En aivan noinkaan sanoisi. Eiköhän nykyiset jäsenet ole jo bändiin sopeutuneet, muovanneet sitä eteenpäin. Sitten jos arvostaa vain ja ainoastaan "klassista aikakautta", niin by all means, voi hylätä bändin.

Ei tässä olla bändiä hylkäämässä, kun sitä samaa bändiä ei ole enää olemassa. Ei siinä mitään. Tavastialle lippu ja toivottavasti soittavat Curtains Are Fallingin.

Ikävä homma kun bändi menettää niinkin sympaattisen oloisen ja taitavan rumpalin, mutta eiköhän siihen tilalle joku löydetä, itsellä tuli sattumoisen ekana mieleen Alex Landenburg. Oulun-keikalle kuitenkin pitää mennä fiilistelemään Jörgiä, ja muutenkin bändin näkemisestä on kulunut muutama vuosi.

Landenburghan on jo Symfoniassa, mutta mikäs sen sopivampaa (ja ihan hitusen myös huvittavaa), kuin että hän olisi myös Stratoissa.

Jaa, että saapuvat oikein tänne Mikkeliinkin. Saa nähdä miten toimii Mikaelin konserttisalissa. Mielummin olisin kuitenkin perinteisemmässä klubi ympäristössä bändiä kuunnellut.

Jens joskus kirjoitteli noista keikoista että ne pitäisi käsitellä ja julkaista, mutta eipä ole kuulunut.

Kuvatkoon nyt uudella koplalla mitä vain, mutta Stratovarius ansaitsisi kyllä Tolkin ajalta DVD-julkaisun, siis sellaisen jossa on kokonainen keikka tai pari - kunnon laadulla. Infinite Visions DVD ei ole vielä riittävä tuolta aikakaudelta.

Mitäs sille Tolkin ja Lassilan ym. Dreamspace proggikselle muuten kuuluu? Kapteeni Kasparekin laiva ulos satamasta ja Jörkka takaisin miehistöön!

Ehkä Jörgin viimevuotinen syöpäepisodi sai hänet ajattelemaan elämänsä prioriteetit uusiksi ja hän päätti keskittyä perheeseen jatkuvan rundaamisen sijasta? Oli miten oli, toivon Jörgelille kaikkea hyvää jatkossa ja kunnioitan hänen päätöstään. Vaikka muutoksiin sopeutuminen ottaa aikansa, elämä jatkuu.

Peter Wildoer kehiin. Johan se auditionas Dream Theateriinkin ja tais päästä jopa kärkikolmikkoon, joten varmasti pätevä kaveri ja Johanssonin maanmies vielä.

Niin, Hammerfallhan tosiaan oli varsin loistava yhtye ennen Johanssonin liittymistä

I think it would be better just to lay the whole thing in rest already. Having just Kotipelto and Jens left, it starts to be a bit lame to call that Stratovarius.
I have known about this for months already and the reasons are many, also musical differencies. Remember that Joerg still plays in Devil's Train with Jari, which is completely different kind of music. Joerg is just not into that complicated Symphony X stuff that seems to be the direction. Approaching 50 I think he just got tired of playing 120 warm up gigs for Helloween with no income, horrible travelling and the chaotic democracy (as he called it) plus stuff that I dont know about.
I wouldn't have the guts to continue from this with the same name but I am sure they are gonna do it. How it succeeds, it's another matter....

I'm not saying Joerg cannot play the stuff by the way. Im saying he doesnt like that kind of music. It's just my opinion what I wrote. Other than that, I really don't care what the guys are doing.
But for sure it's getting more difficult when 3 of the best line up members are gone.
I have talked with Jari about the possibility of reunion for one album and tour as a thank you for Stratovarius fans. This information has also been sent to Jens and to the management. I think it would be the best thing to do but once again, that is just my opinion.

The decision was mine, Timo's, Lauri's and Matias'. All of us would like to go on making music as "Stratovarius". And then why not? Simple as that. It's just a rock band, like Lennon said.

You pour your collective guts and emotions + plus hundreds of hours of work to make it sound nice into some music, and later it reaches other people's ears and hearts and lifts their day or makes them smile... where on earth is the downside to this!?

It's not as if making the next "Stratovarius" record requires us to club baby seals or start wars. It's just music?

Whom would this music hurt, and why? Think a lot about that one...

Making the charge that so-and-so is a sell-out just because they are in a successful band has a long tradition in this industry. I never buy it. Most people need money to cover their daily life.

I watched the mini-carnage at the Symfonia forum, I agree with many things user RazielZR writes there. That's just my opinion (as usual -- if I type something it's my opinion, I hope I don't have to remind everyone of that, constantly). I don't speak for the band now, I speak for myself.

Of course lots of well-meaning (and sometimes not so well-meaning) advice is always proffered by lots of people, but in the end you just have to decide what feels right. Then the dogs possibly bark some more. The caravan moves on. There is always the option to listen to something else... there are millions of pieces of music in the universe.

I love the direction that "Polaris" and Elysium" took. And the audience response has been INCREDIBLE, in sales and reactions at the concerts. Why should we stop making these people happy.. just because it offends very very few people on earth? (Mainly ONE person it offends quite hugely) Would Deep Purple stop playing or change their name if I wrote them and thought they should call themselves "Bananas" instead? Does Blackmore go on internet forums arguing with his fans about what he thinks Deep Purple should be called? No. Richie walked away.. one last time, and he is not looking back.

I have no idea what the next record will sound like. I just know it will be great with so much talent and passion on the table. The two "new guys" (I say "new" ironically -- their collective time in the band is 10 years now) are fully intergrated, we know each other very well now musically and personally, and we all get along well.

It makes me very sad that Jörg leaves, but I have to accept it. The time we had and the impact he made on the music is something nobody can ever take away from me. I am so fucking proud and sat at the same time.

Reunion with Jari and Timo T could only happen with a) Jörg changing his mind, and b) Lauri and Matias mystically just disappear, and... listen carefully now, we don't fire people.. over my dead body someone is forced out anymore. I still feel very bad for how Jari was treated.

So neither a) or b) has an INFINITESIMAL chance of happening.

Also, Didn't TT made the assertion somewhere (symfonum?) that he actually didn't like TK's!? Neurotic body armor, he couldn't sing anymore, I forget what it was. So obviously it would not be fore artistic reasons eh. "Doing it for the fans" I am not even going to comment.

There are other reasons too that this idea is unlikely, but in the interest in keeping the peace I'll just stop there.

Että ottaa päähän kaikki bändiriidat. Tykkään molempien (Straton ja Symfonian) uusista levyistä erittäin paljon, näin molemmat bändit viime vuoden sisällä livenä, mutta tälläiset draamat aina tuovat pahan maun suuhun

Tolkki se vaan jaksaa vinkuu :so: Se ei vaan kestä et Strato tekee tällä hetkellä parempaa musaa mitä se ite väänti 2000-luvulla tai nyt Symfoniassa. Ja sitte sitä ottaa varmaan päähän että Matias on vielä kovempi kitaristi kun se ite. Tolkin ois aika pitää päänsä kiinni ja keskittyy tohon sen keskinkertaseen bändiinsä. Stratolle vaan uus rumpali ja kaikki taas hyvin, ei se maailma nyt tohon Jörgin lähtöön kaadu.
