Ööö, eipäs keksinyt, miten pitäisi putkea jatkaa. Sitten vissiin sammuin.
Erinomainen OT!! Ja tässä taloudessa noin helmeilevä putki olisi jatkunut Holy Terrorilla tietty!!
Hyvät jatkot. Blessed Deathit sopisivat jatkumoon, mutta valitettavasti olisin jo sammunut :-?
Kai jätit Metal Churchin kolme ekaa sit krapula-aamulle?

Tässä vuoden jälkeen lisää: voi juma kun kuulostaakin hyvältä! Die For My Sins / Battle Angels lähdevät todella hyvin, vaikka Dane tuota kiljahtelua taisi joissain haastiksissa pelätäkin.

Sanctuary - Demos 1990/1991 [Unreleased 3rd Album]
Uploader Notes: I received this demo in a trade time ago and,for all i know, this is the first time it surfaces on the web!!!

In 1989 Sean Blosl (guitar) left the band during the tour with FORBIDDEN and DEATH ANGEL and was replaced by Jeff Loomis;in 1990/1991 SANCTUARY recorded this ten tracks demo for a future third album but this album was never released because the pressure from their label (Epic Records) to fit in with the flourishing Seattle grunge scene caused disagreements between band members (regarding the band's musical direction) so in 1991 SANCTUARY officially disbanded.

After disbanding, Warrel Dane, Jim Sheppard and Jeff Loomis soon formed the band NEVERMORE and some songs (properly rerecorded and produced) from this demo were used in their future cds.

Warrel Dane - Vocals
Lenny Rutledge - Guitar
Jeff Loomis - Guitar
Jim Sheppard - Bass
Dave Budbill - Drums

1. In the Garden
2. Uncertain Future
3. Words
4. Mind Free
5. Forever

Chances Three oli ainakin Nevermoren Dead Heart in a Dead Worldin bonarina levytetty viimein (ja Godmoney tietysti löytyy ekalta kokopitkältä), joten voi ihan hyvin pitääkin paikkansa.

Onhan debyytillä myöskin Garden of Gray (debyytin paras biisi?) jossa kertosäkeessä lauletaan "In The Garden..". Ehkä aavistuksen kauempaa on haettu Words -> debyytillä The Hurting Words.

Mother Earth kuulosti kovin tutulta -> In Memory EP:llä Matrice biisin kertsissä lauletaan " Earth Mother is screaming ..

Eli voi pitää paikkansa tai sitten ei. En kyllä tiedä että jos ei pidä paikkansa miksi joku ryhtyisi tuollaista satuilemaan.

SANCTUARY was formed in Seattle in 1985; the band released two studio albums on Epic Records, Refuge Denied in 1987 and Into the Mirror Black in 1989. Worldwide touring with the likes of MEGADETH, WARLOCK, FATES WARNING and DEATH ANGEL, just to name a few, followed each album. Singer Warrel Dane's sky-high vocals combined with guitarist Lenny Rutledge's more mature take on classic thrash riffs separated SANCTUARY from the throes of metal bands struggling to get noticed at the time. Simply put, SANCTUARY offered something fresh sounding in the muddled world of '80s thrash.

SANCTUARY live:
Nov. 14 - Seattle, WA - S7
Nov. 15 - Vancouver, BC - Rickshaw
Nov. 16 - Portland, OR - Hawthorne
Nov. 19 - Anaheim, CA - The Grove
Nov. 20 - Las Vegas, NV - LVCS
Nov. 21 - Phoenix, AZ - Club Red
Nov. 22 - San Diego, CA - Ramona Mainstage

SANCTUARY line-up 2014:
Warrel Dane - Vocals
Lenny Rutledge - Guitars
Jim Sheppard - Bass
Dave Budbill - Drums
Brad Hull - Guitars

Höpöhöpö. Aivan järkyttävän kova, jopa siinä mittaluokassa että kuunnellessa tajuaa kuinka sirpaleisia Nevermore -albumit itse asiassa ovatkaan olleet. Kompakti, ehyt ja koukuttava kokonaisuus.

Warrel puhelee Dead Heartin kokonaansoittamisesta keikoilla, Sanctuarystä & soolosta:
an interview with SANCTUARY and NEVERMORE singer Warrel Dane on October 10 at The Triple Rock in Minneapolis, Minnesota a during SANCTUARY's current North American tour. You can now listen to the chat in the YouTube clip below. A couple of excerpts follow (transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET).

On the progress of the songwriting sessions for SANCTUARY's follow-up to 2014's "The Year The Sun Died" album:

"Lenny's [Rutledge, guitar] gotta get off his butt and write some tunes for me, so I've got something to do in my bedroom when I'm alone with my computer and a microphone. He's got a bunch of riffs and some rough songs written. They're really, really good. It's the beginning stages of that.

"There was one song that got left off 'The Year The Sun Died'. I don't remember why we didn't record it, but it just didn't get finished. It's kind of… It's really fast and really brutal. I'm pretty sure it's gonna make it on the next one. He's got a lot of really good shit written. So it's just a matter of putting it all together and having me work out all the vocal melodies and the lyrics and everything. It takes a little bit of time."

On taking his 15th-anniversary tour of NEVERMORE's "Dead Heart In A Dead World" album to Europe after performing the LP in its entirety in Brazil earlier this year:

"I did that in Brazil with the band I have down there. And some European promoter guy saw some of the YouTube videos and found out I was doing that and wanted to bring it over there. [So I was like], 'Okay. Fine with me.' People went fucking apeshit in Brazil when I did that. It was crazy! Sometimes they were singing the words so loud that I could not even hear myself on stage. Brazilian fans are very into it — to the tenth power. They're crazy.

"[The musicians in my Brazilian band] are all very good, and they can play the shit perfect. It's gonna be fun.

"When NEVERMORE was all still playing together, we always talked about doing the whole 'Dead Heart' record at some point. The first time I went to Brazil and did a solo tour, I was playing mainly solo songs from my solo record and a couple of NEVERMORE songs and a couple of SANCTUARY songs, and people were always, like, 'are you ever gonna do 'Dead Heart In a Dead World', the whole thing? You've gotta do it. Please! People wanna hear it. I've heard that so many times down there. And I think it's the right time to do it, because it is fifteen years old. I can't believe that record is freakin' fifteen years old. It seems like yesterday to me. Time flies when you're getting old. [Laughs]"

On whether there is chance he will release a follow-up to his 2008 solo album "Praises To The War Machine":

"Yeah, I'm actually working on it now. I'm in the demo stages, and it's going to be different than the first one. Some of it is just brutally heavy. I mean, 'Praises To The War Machine' was more like a rock/metal record. I always wanted to do that — I always wanted to explore more of the rock realm instead of the progressive… whatever you wanna call what NEVERMORE was… Progressive, thrash, death, metal… I think NEVERMORE was pretty much… you couldn't really define what kind of music it was, and that was the good thing about that. But the new solo record is going to be a lot heavier than the first one. It's conceivable that it would come out in 2016, because I wanna start recording it sometime around March, but we'll see. I've gotta pick a producer. I'm leaning towards Zeuss [Chris Harris], 'cause I worked so good with him [on 'The Year The Sun Died']. There are a couple of other guys that the record company suggested, and I'm just kind of weeding through that."

SANCTUARY's tour kicked off October 9 in Indianapolis and will keep the band on the road through the end of the month, wrapping up with an October 31 gig in SANCTUARY's hometown of Seattle.

SANCTUARY recently parted ways with guitarist Brad Hull and replaced him with Nick Cordle (ex-ARCH ENEMY, ARSIS).

"The Year The Sun Died" was released in October 2014 via Century Media. The CD was recorded in Seattle at Soundhouse Studios with producer Chris "Zeuss" Harris (SOULFLY, SHADOWS FALL, HATEBREED, MUNICIPAL WASTE).

Lenny on löytänyt '86 demoja, mitkä myös julkaistaan ensi kuussa:
[youtube]MIIKrFvHLCA[/youtube]
Century Media Records has set February 24, 2017 as the release date of "Inception", the official prequel to 1988's classic debut "Refuge Denied" from the legendary U.S. metal act SANCTUARY.

"Inception" contains presumed lost 1986 studio recordings, which guitarist Lenny Rutledge discovered recently and which were magically restored, remixed and remastered by Chris "Zeuss" Harris (QUEENSRŸCHE, HATEBREED).

The song "Die For My Sins", taken from "Inception", can be streamed below.

Rutledge comments: "'Die for My Sins' was always one of my favorite SANCTUARY songs to play live. On the 'Inception' version, we left off the intro and the song starts right into the main riff. I think this version has a real 'in your face' edge to it. I'm excited that after much effort we were able to restore these nearly destroyed master tapes. Now we can share the proper audio versions with all of our fans!"

Recorded in March of 1986 ("Soldiers Of Steel", "Battle Angels") at Triad Studios in Redmond, Washington and Studio One in White Center between April and July 1986, "Inception" offers such previously unreleased highlights as "Dream of The Incubus" and "I Am Insane" as well as several classic "Refuge Denied" songs that are burning with fervor and intensity.

Apart from being expanded by art courtesy of Ed Repka, "Inception" is filled to the brim with tons of rare photos, flyers, early art designs, sketches plus detailed liner notes allowing you to delve deep into SANCTUARY's history.

"Inception" will be released as gatefold LP on 180-gram black and limited colored vinyl, including an extensive LP-size booklet, poster, and the album on CD as additional extra. Apart from that, it will be available as a special-edition CD digipak and digital album.

Rutledge comments: "I found the masters in my barn. The second floor of the barn is on top of our current recording studio and is very rough and open to the elements. The ground level is where we recorded the bulk of 'The Year The Sun Died'. We found the masters in an unknown box in the barn, full of water and just wasting away."

Zeuss explains further how the "Inception" album was realized: "I got a call one day and Lenny said that he had discovered these tapes and had them transferred to digital. I was in the area and stopped over to check it out. The recordings were still in decent shape.

"We agreed that we wanted it to sound as good as possible without taking away from the original vibe and vision of what the band had back then.

"After a year of mixing on and off, we were able to resurrect these original demos.

"I hope everyone enjoys these recordings as much as I did working on them, especially being a huge fan myself."

Lenny concludes: "For me personally, I just wanted fans to be able to hear proper versions of the demos. They had a certain energy that was captured during the early days, maybe even more so than 'Refuge Denied'.

"It's no secret that you can find these on the Internet, but the quality is horrible.

"I think most people are under the impression that these are remastered or re-recorded versions of 'Refuge…', but this is all a prequel!"

"Inception" track listing:

01. Dream Of The Incubus
02. Die For My Sins
03. Soldiers Of Steel
04. Death Rider / Third War
05. White Rabbit (JEFFERSON AIRPLANE cover)
06. Ascension To Destiny
07. Battle Angels
08. I Am Insane
09. Veil Of Disguise

Sanctuary tekee sittenkin Iced Earth-kiertueen, vierailevan vokalistin kera; mielenkiintoista sitten kuulla millainen tulkinta noissa aika haastavissa lähtökohdissa hänellä onkaan.
IE fb kirjoitti:Following the unfortunate loss of one of metal's most revered vocalists, WARREL DANE (Sanctuary, Nevermore), prior to SANCTUARY's upcoming dates supporting Iced Earth across North America, the band has announced the tour will go forth as planned. The shows will act as a farewell tour in tribute to the life and memory of DANE with guest vocals for SANCTUARY to be performed by Joseph Michael (Witherfall).

Sanctuary guitarist Lenny Rutledge comments:

“Sanctuary has decided to continue on with the Iced Earth tour to pay tribute to our brother Warrel Dane. We have enlisted the help of our friend Joseph Michael from Witherfall. The set will consist of many old and some newer songs performed with the utmost respect and quality to honor our friend. Please join us in this farewell as we celebrate Warrel's musical legacy with Sanctuary. We look forward to sharing this tribute with all of you.”
